So currently we are in the "let everyone know that the program starts in a few weeks" phase, and NYO has kindly asked us to Instagram a short video of our hometowns with my title's hashtag, #nyousa. While I have yet to complete the activity, plenty of others have done so already. For example, Tyler Cunningham, Emma Richman, Evan Pasternak, and our very own Social Media Sam basically just showed everyone else how to do it, and also how perfect their cities are.
I'm still hesitant as to how I'll go about this thing myself because I don't spend much time in my "hometown," as I live on almost the very edge, so my school and all my favorite hangouts are in the next city. Perhaps I'll subtly blend the two and pretend it's one city? *mischievous laughter* So yeah watch Instagram for that, and follow @carnegiehall while you're at it. We don't yet have an NYO Instagram (as far as I'm able to find out) so for now, Carnegie will document our lives for us.
As always, stay tuned for more, and comment any and all questions!
A blog where a member of the National Youth Orchestra of the United States of America gladly and intricately recounts her experiences and thoughts along the NYO journey. She hopes you will join her here. (I need to stop talking in third person.)
